I am an international student planning on starting an MPH in Fall 2009. I am a doctor by profession and have nearly 3 years exposure in the Public Health field in my native Sri Lanka
I have admissions so far to Emory Epi 3 Semester MPH and the Hopkins MPH. My goal is to find employment in the US or in an international agency after the Masters.
I am now thinking that I should have applied for the Hopkins Professional MHS as it has a long intern period built in which might give me a chance to find a job afterwards. The more I read the MPH details of Hopkins, the more I feel that this might not help me achieve this.
If that is the case I can take the Emory Epi course. How are opportunities at Emory with regards to my goal of finding employment?
What are your thoughts on the MPH Vs MHS at Hopkins for a person with my background?
Also, is there any possibility of getting my decision changed from the MPH to an MHS say for example in International Health??
