Does anyone have a ballpark idea about what kind of surgical numbers are needed to receive privileges at most hospitals? I'm looking at programs now and want to be sure I have an idea what constitues a bare minimum when I ask them what kind procedural numbers their residents graduate with.

typically, privileges are based on a letter from your PD stating what you have demonstrated profeciency in. so, numbers are not usually what gets you privs, it is your PD stating that you are good enough.
