Before everyone screams duplicate post, I would like to get a table together with the different DO schools and the total number of hours of OMM instruction that they have over the first two years. I know there are plenty of threads out there with scattered information, but I would like to get it all in one place (several Pre-Med Students have been asking for this information). Please include all lab and lecture hours over the first 2 years.

Thanks,

Jared

LMU-DCOM: 63 hours of lecture, 132 hours of lab.

CCOM:
~58 hours lecture
~ 190 hours lab

(i multiplied the hours we are in each week then subtracted for weeks we have practical exams where we do not have lecture/lab which is why my totals are approximate)

NYCOM: 160 hours of lecture, 200 hours of OMM Lab

For AZCOM, my guess would be approximately 54 hrs lecture and 162 hrs. lab, not including exams (written or practical).

As an addendum, DCOM streams some additional labs to students who are out on rotations, but I don't know how many hours that entails.

UMDNJ-SOM: Same as LECOM-E, 1 hr lecture/week, 1.5 hr lab/week except for when you have OMM practicals or weeks off school.

The volume of OMM some other schools subject their students to looks somewhat frightening.

PCOM same as LECOM-E/UMDNJ-SOM.

KCUMB- 1st year 1.5 hrs per week lab, 1hr lecture
