How are letters of recommendation submitted to dental school and what should be in them?

Are electronic copies of the letters submitted with online applications or are they physically sent in and you should therefore ask for multiple hard copies? Should the letters from dentists explicitly state how many hours you have shadowed with them?

You send the letters through the application. The dentist doesn’t need to state the hours you shadowed. There’s a designated place for that on the app

I had this question as well! Do you list your LOR writers in the application? and then they will get emailed a link to send their letter? Am i right in how that works? *Do not mean to hijack post just want clarity on this 🙂

The application portal will have a section.
- You will be able to input the name of your references, their email address, and other information about them
- AADSAS will email your references for you. so you just need to remind them to look out for the email
(- hours aren't needed in the letter, nor are they verified on the application, so that is both good and bad)
