I just took my last block exam today and starting next Tuesday we have shelves every 2 days. Then I have 4-5 weeks to study for Step 1. I honestly don't know how I am going to stay focused and work hard all day everyday for that long. I just feel burned out.

Anybody else feel this way?

Yeah, we have our shelves now as well. I've done most of my studying already. Just running through my cards one last time. At this point it feels like it's all about endurance since I've already done all that I think should be done. I'm trying to make sure I get proper sleep, and would appreciate tips from people who've been through this as well.

Just keep telling yourself, it's 6 weeks of work, that pretty much determines the rest of your life, residency, location, happiness.

Don't live the rest of your life kicking yourself in the butt for not putting in a few weeks of your time when it mattered.

Don't settle for anything less then your best.

It's 6 weeks of your life now, for the next 60 years of it. Make the trade.

Ya I'm a little over half way through firecracker and obviously have been through MS2 but I'm flipping through First Aid and there is just so much.. I actually feel like it is a little harder in your situation to stay motivated, though, because you feel somewhat confident.

What do you guys mean by shelves?

Shelf exams. If you don't know what they are they are just subjects from old Step 1 exams that schools can buy for their students. For MS2 we have physical diagnosis, path, micro, pharm, behavioral, and basic science which is a combination.

Ya that is what I am trying to remember. Don't want to be lazy now and mess things up - just so ready to be done with this year lol Doesn't help I am getting married, going on a honeymoon then a huge car meet, all right after Step 1.
