I have a pretty decent GPA, about 3.5 both cumulative and science, but I got a C+ in a 2 credit chem lab course. I also got a C in a law class freshman year. I wasn't too worried about the C freshman year because I figured if they asked me about it I could explain how it took me a semester to adjust to college and my grades improved each semester from there, which is true. However with another C I might have trouble arguing the whole "I got one bad grade and learned from the mistake" angle. Its only a 2-credit course, and didn't affect my GPA too much. Regardless, how bad does a C in a science course on my transcript hurt me? If they ask me about it during an interview, I'm not really sure what I would say besides the fact it was a really tough course, I wouldn't blame it on the professor or anything. Is a C something to be concerned about? It was in Gen Chem 2. Lab btw. Of my 4 chem lab courses, I've got a A-, B, B, and C+ if that matters.

In my opinion it should not be detrimental. I received a C+ in Gen Chem 1 (Freshman year) and a C in Physics 2 (so I have gotten 2 Cs). I was accepted to 3 schools on December 1st and none of the schools asked me about those grades during the interview. I had an average DAT score as well. I think as long as your GPA has an upward trend you should be fine.

no one will care. no one asked me about any of my C's (soph year spring, fall junior, spring senior). And my GPA was lower than yours as well. study hard, good luck!

I had 2 C's on my transcript and I still got in. Shouldn't word too much about it. Good luck!!
