I have a pretty decent GPA, about 3.5 both cumulative and science, but I got a C+ in a 2 credit chem lab course. I also got a C in a law class freshman year. I wasn't too worried about the C freshman year because I figured if they asked me about it I could explain how it took me a semester to adjust to college and my grades improved each semester from there, which is true. However with another C I might have trouble arguing the whole "I got one bad grade and learned from the mistake" angle. Its only a 2-credit course, and didn't affect my GPA too much. Regardless, how bad does a C in a science course on my transcript hurt me? If they ask me about it during an interview, I'm not really sure what I would say besides the fact it was a really tough course, I wouldn't blame it on the professor or anything. Is a C something to be concerned about? It was in Gen Chem 2. Lab btw. Of my 4 chem lab courses, I've got a A-, B, B, and C+ if that matters.
