How challenging/difficult is it to have your research published in a major peer reviewed journal? (ie American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics or Journal of Endodontics, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery).
Will having publications in these journals be looked upon favorably by employers? Or is it more pertinent for employment in academics?
