hi! all of my classes are on mwf except for a genetics lab on r. problem is i have genetics lecture 11:00-11:50 and classical mythology lecture starting at 12:00. they're in different buildings too (but right next to each other (whew, just checked that out)). will this really be that disadvantageous for me? does this equate to 2 exams, 10 minutes apart?

????? i don't think anyone can answer for this for you, because it varies by school. but i always had classes back to back like that and it was not a problem. you could have exams on the same day.. i don't know how we're supposed to know if that will happen.

I don't think it's a big deal at all. I've done back to back classes before. It's nice to have more time but classes are never arranged around your schedule. Just make sure you can be on time.

Hahaha. Freshman.

I've had classes that were a half mile apart that I had to get to in ten minutes...don't worry.

If you are worrying about this, I sincerely wish you luck with the rest of the process.... 😛 😛 😛

That's how my schedule is this semester (with org. lab on Thursday) plus on Monday and Friday I T.A. a lab. It's not a huge deal. But to answer your question, yes, there probably will be days where you have more than one test/paper. Just plan accordingly.

Totally. s/he might wanna come back to SDN after figuring out how college works. No need to worry right now about something at least four years away.

lol not 2 exams back to back! ive had to jog to a class mwf because it was a mile apart! i prefer the classes back to back, sometimes it leads to days off one semester i had tuesdays and thursdays off easist semester ive had.

When I was in undergrad, I always tried to stack my classes back to back. One semester, I had 6 in a row MWF. I never had a semester without almost all of my classes back to back with at least one other class.

Don't worry about it.

It will be fine. That is not something to worry about.

10 minutes is surprisingly a lot of time if you go straight from one class to the other, if you forgo the kind of socialization you had between classes in high school (remember, you live with your friends now, you don't need to squeeze idle chat between classes all the time 🙂 ) If you think about it, in ten minutes, you can cover a quarter mile easily; think about how long it would take you to walk around a track, even carrying a bunch of books and stuff.
