Hello all!
I will be applying to applying to pharmacy school starting the end of next year. I am curious to know how competitive I am to other pre-pharmacy students. Here are my current statistics:

a. Schools I am applying to: Texas Southern University, University of Houston, University of Iowa, University of Colorado, University of Minnesota, University of Texas A&M Kingsville, and other pharmacy schools in Texas and/or surrounding states. (Applying to multiple to try and have a wide variety so I am not left empty handed when admission letters go out!)

b. Overall GPA: 3.46
c. Math/Science GPA: 3.25
d. GPA in last one of two school years: 3.88 -My first 2 semesters I did not do very well, but have had an extreme upward trend in my last 2 years.
dI. Pre-pharmacy GPA: 3.53
e. Complete PCAT score (or just composite): I haven't taken it yet, but on the practice test that they offer I received a composite score of 80. Studying the 2nd half of Dr. Collins and will be taking the REAL PCAT in January 2013.
f. Pharmacy experience obtained: Over 6,000 hours as a pharmacy technician. Passed my CPhT exam the day after I graduated high school in May 2009 and still working at a compounding pharmacy. I am 21 years old so about 3 years experience so far. Also, I am certified by National Pharmacy Technician Association and have obtained my Compounding certification, Intravenous certification, and my Chemotherapy IV certification. By time I apply I will have about 5 years CPhT under my belt at the same pharmacy.
g. Date of application submission: I will be applying for Fall 2014
h. Number of LORs and source of LORs: At least 6+ from pharmacist that I work with, (3 that have graduated from TSU, 2 from UH, and 1 from A&M). Multiple from professors that I have had done research with over the summer in Biochemistry. Also, a 3 page, handwritten LOR from the President & CEO of Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital describing the contributions I have made while volunteering at Christus.
i. Non-pharmacy work and/or volunteer experience: Volunteering at hospitals with Infection Prevention Control, and a couple of weeks in the pharmacy (for fun lol), also have volunteered doing marketing at one of the largest hospitals in our area. Member of the Alpha~ Spanish Honor Society (I am not even hispanic 😀)
j. Self-perception of interview skills: Very good. I have received every honor/position applied for.
k. Overall impression of personal statement quality: Haven't written it yet, but i'll put lots of time into it!

I will graduate in December 2013 with a B.A. in Chemistry, minor in Biochemistry, and a minor in Spanish.

I am worried about not having any current volunteer work because going to school full-time, working 6 days a week at a pharmacy, and raising a family with a young child, it's extremely tough to fit in the time for extracurricular activities.

I sometimes can be a hypochondriac (just not of health reasons) but instead, acceptance into pharmacy school. Therefore, I am a hypopharmacceptanceriac? Oh well, what are your thoughts?!

Thanks!

You are extremely competitive. If you get an 80+ on your PCAT you will get an interview to all those schools.
