I left off the period on the last sentence of the entire personal statement. I had several PAs, NPs, MDs, and DOs read my PS before submission and no one caught it. I think it happened because we were doing some last minute editing, and I ran out of characters so naturally it took the last period out. How much of a negative impact will this make to my application? (I know this sounds dumb, but I am distraught.)

None.

Not as bad as the neurotic behavior that you're displaying over something that is done and you can't do anything about anymore.

This is even less than trivial. Now go take two of these:

You're done. Schools turn up their noses at the peasants and simpletons who, out of audacity or negligence, don't end their sentences in periods.

In all seriousness, don't worry. It's not even a spelling mistake, just a tiny little typo. Admission committees have to read through thousands of personal statements, and chances are they'll probably not even notice it. If they ever do, they likely won't care. What raises a red flag are essays with extensive grammatical errors and typos, enough to show that the writer hadn't put in enough care and effort to be presentable on paper.

I work at a family practice and urgent care office. Everyone there is supporting me in m endeavors so of course I had them read it. Like noted above, we - as a group - were editing some stuff before submission (such as sentences that were too wordy, etc) and I believe that is why it occurred; however, thank you for doubting me.

EDIT: That was a little snarky, so Im sorry. But what I said is true, and I feel that your comment -though just an emoji - suggested that I was lying.

Apparently I'm too old for emojis. Read the quote again. You've answered your own post.

adcoms don't read any better than those people, because they are those people.
Reading what you write a little closer 🤣lol shots fired. But really, you're solid.

Again, I'm sorry! Im in high stress mode I thought you were referring to the legitimacy of my proofreaders.

You're exhibiting some OCD behavior, probably what got you this far in school. There are no punctuation nazis at my school, so you're ok. Now if you had multiple spelling and grammar errors, that would be different
