Sorry to ask everyone but i am completely blind in this are. Does it matter what dental school you attend as far as licensing goes? ( I mean behind the prestige that may lie behind a certain program) Lets say attended dental school in Louisiana; when you graduate and take the boards can you practice in any other state? Do you have to take the exam on a per state basis? How does licensing work upon graduation?

You will be eligible to practice in the member states of that particular regional board exam you take-eg-WREB/NERB etc. To practice in non member states how ever you need to take separate requisites specific to that particular state - like Jurisprudence/clinical assessment etc. You can check for the list of states online.
