how do courses you have taken twice count towards your pre req GPA?

I am currently thinking of retaking courses that I passed, but didn't do great in, in order to get a better grade obviously. I was wondering how this is looked upon by dental schools? Also, how does this factor into the prereq GPA? Would i just count the highest grade I got in the course or would I have to count both?

It wont be looked down upon and all grades are averaged into your total GPA. Low grades are not replaced by higher grades from the same coursework. So if you retake a class and score well and its above your current GPA then it will simply raise your GPA and dental schools will see both grades.

You might be asked about it during interviews. People would expect you to score really high if you retake, so make sure you do well the second time!
