How do I answer this question?

I'm filling out supplementals and here's a tricky question I came across:

"Aside from becoming a pharmacist, what other professional and personal goals do you have? How do you plan to achieve them?"

I have personal goals, but as for professional goals is it okay to say none? I don't really currently have plans to have a 2nd job or anything outside of pharmacy.

It could be professional goals within the field of pharmacy. I'm certain most schools would not like to hear, "I just want to get my license and go count pills for 100k a year". For instance, if you plan to go retail you might mention that you would like to expand on your business and leadership skills in order to earn a position where you will be able to influence the course of your pharmacy.

Or you could mention your goals of clinical research within the pharmacy field to perfect new guidelines for better outcomes in managed care. Basically, they want to see that you aren't just going for the piece of paper, but using the degree as another stepping stone in building the complete you.

As for personal goals, you sound like you already have those working.

Thanks. I was under the impression they were asking for a goal that's outside of pharmacy all together. Anyways I guess it's time to BS since all I really wanna do is get a license and count pills.
