I was curious to know how people plan on destressing during medical school. I usually just start jamming on my guitar.

music is definitely the answer... and bubble baths (alone or with a friend😉 ) or if that fails, hit your roommate in the face with a bat, that one always worked for me

I like to eat good food, catch up on sleep, or idle and watch some *****ic television shows that slow my brain down. All good methods of relaxing. Oh, and spending time with the girlfriend.

I take a whiffle-ball bat and beat the crap out of an old, grungy pillow. I scream maniacally and pretend that the pillow is every one who gave me a hard time during the week. (If you're going to try this, warn your neighbors so they don't call the police.)

hopejully spending time with my boyfriend (assuming he's with me or reasonably nearby); Snowboarding; warm-smell good baths; playing with Regie (my puppy); clothes shopping (this always puts me in the best mood no matter what); partying every so often; and surprisingly, a good study session always makes me feel more confident about school.

De-stress or Distress... I do a little of both every now and then... 😉

Work out and play cello.

I play tabla or if the weather is nice, I play tennis.

play hockey, run cross country, work out. anything that raises serum levels of S-100B (an indicator of brain damage... yeah!) outside of repetitively jumping up and down. Since running mice show increased hippocampal neuronal regeneration all this activity should even out. My performance on the water maze should remain unaffected. 🙂

probably same as i do now. procrastinate, read, watch tv, lay in bed and stare at the ceiling.

tennis- it gives me a good excuse to hit my balls.

Guitar certainly😎

Toomuch, what do you play?

Play on the sax, or beat the **** out of a bag kung fu style. Sometimes I go to the range and pop a few off; spent an hour there the other day.

Although I'm beginning to think carrying a gun while going through the app cycle is a bad idea.

Oh, good old Regie. 🙂 How's his UTI/potty training coming along?

I love bluegrass, but I also have a hard time staying away from tom petty and of course, the beetles.

hmm, anything by The Band?

I'm mainly blues and blues-rock. Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Johnson, the 3 Kings, SRV, Clapton, etc...

And Petty is always good. Just curious, what are your thoughts on Lynyrd Skynyrd?

A lot better, thanks for asking 🙂 Although, he has slip-ups every now and then.

I love Tom Petty!--I've been to two of his concerts. My mom got me hooked when I was super young. I remember being super young and singing his songs.
