I am a 25 year old single mom to a 4 year old just started over in school I have a new career goal. I have to have so many hours of exp before Vet school. So right now I am doing school, volunteer work and some shadowing work. I am tired !

Yeah when you think of everything you have to do it can be really exhausting and daunting. You just put one foot in front of the other and get through one day. Then the next, and pretty soon you look what you've done to that point and can be pretty surprised with yourself.

I'm starting medical school in 5 days. I look at my 13 month old daughter, who wasn't even thought of when I set out on this path, and wonder where the time went, how I got here, and how I managed to survive. I swear each step felt painfully exhausting and never-ending. Somehow though, one foot in front of the other, and I'm about to start the next chapter.

I know it seems forever away now, but its a marathon. Celebrate the small milestones while keeping your eye on the big picture. Enjoy your time with your child. You'll get there, eventually.
