How do you play the fellowship game and win?

I'm a IM PGY2 and currently interviewing for cards spots.
Anybody have good tips on how to:

-keep programs interested after interviews
-get solid feedback about where you stand
-maximize chances of getting a spot...

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I thing the best you can do is be sincere. If the program you're looking at is #1, tell them. Also, if you think you established good relationship with the PD, it's ok to e-mail and ask about where you stand. Anyway, it's the "match" all over again.

Other think would be to talk to other residents and fellows who went through this process.
