HOW DO YOU STUDY FOR THE PAT ?!?!?!!!! plz help!

OK, so i have Crack dat pat, and i have a kaplan book and all these other PRACTICE PAT questions but i have NO IDEA HOW TO ACTUALLY .....STUDY....i have no idea what im doing i dont even know how to approach it?! does anybody know where i can learn tricks or how to even SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS?!!!! IM going crazyyy....please help!!!!

When I took my very first PAT test, I think i missed more than half of the problems. What I did was go through the test and look at the solution to learn new tricks. I suggest you first go through the Kaplan section and read their rules. Once you feel a little more comfortable, you should do some crack dat pat sections untimed. After that, you should give yourself like 2 hours (instead of the normal 1 hour) and each week lower the amount of time until you can do them in 1 hour.

It just takes practice. Do them everyday and you will definetly get better. I couldnt finish a section in like 2.5 hours at first but on the real test I finished with 5 mins left and scored a 20. Good luck!

the only thing you can do is go over it, practice as much as possible..then keep going over the answer, and understand why the answer is the that choice, and how why you were wrong. you will naturally become better after practice..use CRACK THE PAT more than kaplan, kaplans wayyy! to easy

TO be honest, there aren't any "tricks" that would get you anywhere (you may have heard about counting lines on the TFE, but that will knock out 2 coices max). The PAT takes A LOT of practice imo. It is great that you have many practice problems, understanding how to visualize in your head takes practice.

My advice? practice practice practice. I was rusty at first on my CDP 18,20,20 on my first 3 exams. No worries, JUST PRACTICE

It's all about practice!
There are very few tricks involved and those are all mentioned in KBB.
Also, you can search my "Wicked Pat Tutorial" in this forum for some additional tricks.
But at the end, what it boils down to, is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!
It may seem very frustrating at first, but you'll eventually get a hold of it. Just take your time and practice a lot!

the pat section can be frustrating just try looking at the solutions on crack dat pat kaplan if i recall has some tutorial on how to approach it just keep doing it as much as you can and u'll start seeing it get easier.......u can google sum stuff for it too just work on ur technique and timing. best of luck ps there are sum tutorials available on the forum search it they can help.

Yep, practice is key with PAT. Also, perceptual ability is the kind of thing that you just have... it's hard to teach someone how to 'see' an object in space and turn it around. So, practice like crazy! CDP is fantastic and very realistic to the actual DAT.
