I'm a Canadian citizen attending university in America.
This is my 4th semester in college as a chem major.
My overall GPA is 3.0 and sGPA is lower.
B+ Gen Chem 1, C+ Gen Chem 2
C+ Molecular Bio 1, Pass Cell Bio 2
B- Organic Chem 1, C+ Calculus 1
are my science gpas.....
As you can see I did very poor in the past.
This semester I am currently getting around B+ in both Ochem 2 and Analytical chem.
Volunteer experience:
zero shadowing/volunteering hours
Extracurricular activities:
- a little experience in coordinating science experiment of students in elementary school.
- currently serving as one of the E-board members in my church student group
- served as one of the directors in preparing a huge church annual even at school
- currently serving as a Sunday school teacher
- currently joined in Poverty Awareness organization
- currently joined in an organization aiding North Korea
Unless I take extra semesters to improve my GPA, the maximum overall GPA i can get is 3.5 and sGPA 3.4 (but it is highly unlikely because I won't get all As) Also, I do not have a specific professor in mind for LOR.
How do you guys think I am doing?
The only "OK" part is my extracurriculur activities (although i heard being leader and w/e in a religious group isn't much helpful ??)
Maybe it is time for me to accept the reality and start looking for a different career path.
Well, thank you for reading guys.

Your doing poorly so far, but, your GPA is still in good shape as a starting point for repair. I mean, you've done 2 years of college and you have 3.0.... Just try your best to get high grades from now on... aim for A/A- and you should be able to finish your undergrad with an overall between 3.3-3.5 but your science GPA will go up even faster
extracurriculars are good, but the GPA (in my opinion) is the single most important admission criteria.
You've dug a hole for yourself, but with hard work in the upcoming 2 years, you should be in good shape.
