How do your real scores compare to CDP for the PAT?

Began by getting 18ish on CDP without knowing any strategies (I had the 10 test edition). Practiced more, found youtube tips for each section, etc. The last couple tests I got 22 and 23 I think. Real DAT I got a 21. However, I did psych myself out during that time because I could have sworn I made a 16 in bio and I probably missed some cube counting or hole punching that I definitely should not have missed.
The interface for CDP is almost identical to the real DAT. That helps, too.

Damn that really sucks because I'm already not that good at pattern folding, I can't afford another section bringing me down 🙁
I was averaging a 19 for the first few tests when I didn't really have a technique but now I've been hitting 22's and I'm not sure if I should even be using CDP as an indication for my real DAT PAT score.

Hey heres my experience:

Did all 10 CDP exams, my scores started at 19 then gradually moved up to 20 and I was stuck at 21 for a while.
A week before the exam I started scoring 22's .
Actual DAT PAT score: 23

I feel like the combination of CDP is a really good way to prepare.
I have to agree with FeralisExtremum, the actual keyholes are like no one single program out there.

I did 6 CDP exams and got an 18 on my first one without knowing any strategies. The highest score I got from CDP was 22, but I ended up getting 23 on the real thing! I felt that my PAT was super easy except keyholes compared to BC. So if you do fine on CDP, I think you will be okay! Good luck!

Try the free bootcamp PAT test, too. Then, when you look over your answers, you can see some strategies for keyhole and pattern folding that were pretty helpful.

Yes I'm definitely going to start bootcamp PAT soon, I'm just so darn nervous about starting it but I might as well go for it right?

Yes! Go for it! If you bought the program, I think there are 10 of them. That, with CDP, should definitely be plenty. Good luck!

Do 2 tests a week to keep yourself really sharp!
Best advice i got, the DAY BEFORE your exam DO NOTHING!! except for one PAT exam to again .... keep you sharp! 😉

Bootcamp is harder than the real thing. And even if it weren't, 20 would still be a great score on the PAT part! I don't think any school would rule you out for a 20 on PAT

I have a pretty low GPA although I have a solid upward trend so I want to get the highest scores I can. How would you say BC's Reading Comprehension section is in comparison to the DAT? I've been doing QVault RC and I've been hitting 23's. I just did a BC RC section and got an 18

Well everyone wants the highest scores they can get haha. I actually didn't buy bootcamp so I can only talk about my experience from the free test, but I found the actual RC section to be much more straightforward and less time consuming. I didn't get any of the "statement is true, reason is false" stuff or whatever, and the tone questions I got were pretty simple
