I was interested in learning about how Problem Based Learning works in medical school. For us, we have traditional didactic lectures on the basic sciences which are enriched with clinical case presentations.
So in PBL how does it work? You get a case and have to determine the scientific basis of it? Like would they give you a case about PKU so that you can learn about amino acid metabolism in general? As well, how would they teach something basic like Krebs or glycolysis...or is it upto you to fill in the missing parts?
Thanks
