How does PharmCAS calculate your GPA if you've retaken a class?

Say you took a class and got a 2.0. Then you retook it and got a 4.0. It's a 4 credit class. So does PharmCAS count that as a 3.0 GPA of 4 credits or does it add up the credits, which would make it 8 credits? I know it combines the grades but I'm not sure if it's still out of 4 credits.

I'm pretty sure it counts it as many times as you took it. So it counts 8 credits.

Really? That would give all your grades less weight and makes it seem like you have more credits than you actually would.. odd..
