How does the NBDE I old version compare to the new one?

Hey everybody,

Just wondering if there's anyone out there who has taken the old version n the new version too of part I to improve scores. I hear the new version is a LOT harder. People tend to score less with the new version they say. Pls do share personal experiences. After all we are all here to learn.

Hi there,
I did the new format and got 84 and not satisfied with it, based on the 1998 scale it would be 94 but it seems that new format it's harder to get high score any way I'm thinking about retaking this exam with hope to improve my score ... that's all I have but you know don't think about it just work hard and keep motivated no matter how the format is you will be fine ..good luck
