Everyone always offers the advice to apply as early as possible to Med schools. But no one ever gives any sort of timeline. So i am curious as to what everyone's experiences were. For those of you who did apply early, what exactly was your timeline? I guess I am also wondering when exactly it becomes "late" to apply? i.e. what is the average date for turning in applications?

Thanks everyone!

I submitted my primary by the second week of June and that was plenty early.

A general guideline for secondaries is not more than a two week turnaround.

Having your application verified before data is sent to schools is the best possible scenario. Last year, that meant submitting by about June 8th (data was sent to schools around June 20th). I think submitting any time in June is pretty darn good.

By the time mid-July comes around, it will take about a month to get your app verified. I would consider August to be late. Earlier is always better (July 1st is better than July 15th).
