According to dentists, I have a "healthy" mouth...according to me, my teeth suck. Before the age of 4, I had 14 root canals on my baby teeth due to caries. Due to oral surgeries, I am missing 8 teeth, but have 2 implants. My mouth is half amalgam and half composite, and I get new cavaties about every 6 months. Also, I have genetically bad teeth because many of my family members have lost their teeth. I drive my friends nuts sometimes because I am the person who brushes, flosses, and rinses in the bathroom of a restraunt after eating. I will be the first to admit that at one point in my life I did want my teeth to fall out-I am dental phobic too. However, that was years ago, but now, no matter what I do, I still manage to have problems(cavaties, root canals, etc) that are not linked to oral surgeries. I don't whiten my teeth either because I tried once and the crest white strips burned my gums, and if I did whiten now, it would look dumb because of the composite in the front and the implants on the side.
If you only have had a few cavaties and healthy teeth, be thankful because it could be alot worse!
