How hard would this be?

I would like to shadow a neurosurgeon at MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston, but I don't have any connections. Would it be hard for me to get a neurosurgeon to let me shadow him? How should I go about contacting them?

Try emailing him directly. Don't go through his secretary, their job is to screen calls. He may or may not respond. Sometimes people who are hotshots in their field, who you think may be too busy to pay attention to you, do respond! And some go out of their way to help young people!
