Hey all,

I'm applying this summer and wanted to know how much an academic update can help me. I'm thinking about this now because I'm thinking about taking summer classes to raise my sgpa and submit those along with my fall grades during the academic update time. My current stats are ~3.2 sgpa, ~3.3 ogpa and 23AA/24TS. After this semester I should be at around 3.25 sgpa. However, if I submit an update with good grades in summer and fall classes that could potentially bring me to a 3.4 sgpa. The importance of the update would also be a deciding factor in how science-heavy I make my fall semester schedule.

A "good" academic update will never hurt you. You'll eventually have to update the school (or schools) you get into with your grades on all courses you label in-progress or plan to take. So plan an academic update regardless of what grades you get.

But the point is... all you need to do is to make sure you do your best to ace those all those summer and fall classes. Once the academic update is available, submit the grades and profit.

Best of luck~
