Hi all, just want to follow up on the thread on NYU, in which I was pulled off because of some remarks regarding a current medical school student wanting to stir up some drama there.

Protesting against how NYU has been treating applicants, I withdrew my application there.

All 8 of the schools I have interviews at I know I would attend over NYU, regardless of financial aid...NYC is just not a good place for a family. Feeling emboldened. **** it, NYU app withdrawn.

NY is only good for family if you are super super rich...

Dude, I wouldn't. The negotiation power of a full ride to NYU might end up saving you many tens of thousands at these alternatives you prefer. NYU, WashU, Penn, Vandy, U Chicago, Northwestern...if your interview list includes places like this that throw a lot of recruitment money around, attend all of them because getting money from one can get you money from others.

NYU, WashU, Penn, Vandy, U Chicago, Northwestern...if your interview list includes places like this that throw a lot of recruitment money around, attend all of them because getting money from one can get you money from others.

So far only one of those, although hoping to hear back from at least Vandy and/or WashU.....Yah, I guess.

So I read a page or two of the NYU 2019-2020 thread. You're mad because NYU has automated call and email responses because of the vast number of applications they receive? Seems immature and arrogant to think your application is so special as to require a personal response to every neurotic question.
