How important is GPA after your accepted? ;)

Not accepted yet but I HOPEFULLY will be in a month or so.

Anywho...finals coming up and I started asking myself..is it REALLY that critical I pull a 4.0?

Say I dip down and get a 3.5 this year. Quite a bit lower than my overall...but would it really matter if accepted? Any reason to get a 4.0 this year other than pride/sake of learning?

Doesn't matter if you are accepted, but don't count on that happening until it actually does.

Oh I totally agree with you guys-

I'm being ridiculous (I blame this on SDN). It's literally a toss-up between getting a 3.8 and 4.0 this semester...and me not really wanting to bust my ass for 2 more days 😀 I know I will end up being over caffeinated and going for the A anyways though....Damn you type-A personality!!

It's funny though- I had a friend who got in and then got a 2.5 his last semester. He nearly failed one of his classes...why he risked med school over a little bit of slacking I'll never know

Ummm... yes. The fact that you would have a perfect GPA. Seems like a good enough reason; unless you have some problem with perfection.

BTW, you won't be saying "I AM FAIL 🙁" unless you blow that 4.0.

It is funny that I have been told that so many times. It is kind weird that they assume gpa and "life" is inversely related lol.
