Its a question thats been interesting me for a long while. Since im a Psychology major my Cgpa will be probably different from my sgpa.
So i was simply left curious, If for example i end up with a Cgpa of 3.8, and a Sgpa of 3.4. Do you think this will be a major problem? Or do you believe that Cgpa will overshadow the Sgpa.

sGPA is probably more important since it's a better indicator of your ability to handle science (which i hear is pretty important in medicine). it's probably best to not let your sGPA drop so low.

It somewhat is supposed to standardize the GPA from different majors since these are the classes you have to take no matter what. An extreme example is a poetry major who has a 3.9 cGPA but sGPA of 2.0. Might not be so desirable.

I would also say sGPA is more important than cGPA. Mdapps seems to support this idea as well.

Hm.. sounds like i'll need to ace O-chem and my neurosci classes.

Hopefully you have a good OChem teacher. Can make all the difference. You can do it, good luck!

Neh im kinda worried because i'm very likely going to get a B again in chem 102. I got a 88% in chem 101 and we dont have a B+ so Im more or less going to take another big hit with chem 102. Then physics and o-chem next year.. Hopefully i can come out with a decent Sgpa...
