How is the PCAT scored? Is there an official or unofficial scoring rubric that associates the number of questions you get correct in a certain section to your scaled score? Does Kaplan, PCAT Achiever, Dr. Collins or any prep source provide a ballpark scale for each section? Any information would help for all of us.

The PCAT is tricky to score via any ballpark, because from my understanding, it is based on how many questions you get right and compared against the national average of everyone who took that exact same test with you. If you take the PCAT in July (like I did), it is based on the scores from the last year. Kaplan had a free online PCAT that you could take and it gave you a general score, but it isn't really all that useful, except to show you a random score against a few other people and then see what are your stronger and weaker areas.

On that note, try and make sure you master areas and study well what you think you all ready know. If you score super high on certain PCAT segments, your average shoots up and it can save you from needing to retake it if you have a bad day in one section.

It seems like it can vary quite a lot. Some people say getting about 50% correct in science is about average, but I'm not sure. It's weird they don't release that info.
