How late is too late MCAT for Texas application?

With the Texas application cycle starting in May, is June or July too late to test? I am military and will be on a training rotation, so I can make May happen, but it will be tough to prep appropriately before hand. Thoughts?

June is OK. July is a little late. In the end, only take it when you are completely ready. The score matters far more than the date.

FWIW, I took the MCAT July 17 this past year and got an interview at TCOM the same cycle. Just make sure that everything else is submitted before you take your MCAT so that when the score comes in, they can start looking at your application immediately. This includes primary, secondary, all transcripts, etc.
