How long does it take for a school to send you their secondary?

Just curious. I applied to just one school (early decision). My AMCAS was submitted this morning and verified shortly thereafter (my transcripts had been in for a long time). A friend said that schools typically send out secondaries right when you submit AMCAS. I haven't gotten anything yet.

What are people's experiences? How quickly have you been getting secondaries after submitting AMCAS?

Depends on the school. Most school's secondaries are not even out yet. The one's that are out... well, some will send you the secondary invite immediately, otherwise won't even noticed you applied until a week or two later.

I would recommend checking out the school specific discussion thread for your med school of interest and see if the secondary is out yet -- and if it is out, how long it took for applicants to receive. If the secondary is already out and you haven't heard anything from the school in a week, maybe contact them... otherwise sit tight.
