I've been waiting 2.5 months for my Neurology grade now. I waited over 2 months for my IM grade. I think it's a little ridiculous the way they throw a fit if we are even slightly late turning in the most trivial of form, yet when it comes time for them to get their act together and give us a grade they go MIA. 😡😡

It was 4 months almost to the day for surgery, and now I'm 3 months and counting for my peds grade. The rest were pretty good about them, though, usually within 4 weeks.

First rotation = medicine, done at the end of August.... 9 weeks and counting....

2-3 months. *sigh*

6 weeks to 8 weeks here as well, but the longest took 6 months (!). And as someone else mentioned, if the med student doesn't turn in the end of clerkship forms and evaluations promptly there's hell to pay for us.

I brought this up at my school's curriculum meeting, and I was met with "Oh, we set our goal to be 8 weeks after the end of the clerkship."

GOAL?! Give me a break.

hell if i get more than half of my clinical grades before i start fellowship i'll consider it a success of EPIC proportions on my school's part.

The registrar says they're supposed to be in by 1 month after the end of the rotation.

That being said, for M3 year, my OB/gyn grade took 10 weeks, my Family Practice grade took about 6 weeks. The rest were pretty good about getting them in on time.

M4 year, none of my grades for July or August made it in to the registrar in time to be put on my MSPE. I had to update my transcript on ERAS, hopefully that'll count for something. Oh, and my July attending marked the wrong grade, so I had to email him asking him if it was a mistake, since other things on there were left blank. Fun times.
