How long is a preq. course good for?

I was just told yesterday from a friend that all preq. course are only good for 6 years. Does any one know whether is is true? I thought that only the sciences courses were good for 6 or 7 years, not the English and/or elective course.

It all depends on the school. That being said, I got into pharm school with all my non-science pre-req's being 10-15 years old, and a few of my science ones being 8 years old.
