I've been working at a dental office for a little over a year.

The doctor that I most often work with wrote a letter for me and told me to add to it.

How long do you ladies and gentlemen think is too long for a letter of recommendation? Right now, my letter is sitting at about 750 words or a little over a page.

The other doctors in the office say it's too long. Their rational is that a dentist wouldn't write a letter that long. I think a longer letter is okay since it's for dental school and she's known me for 1 year.

Thoughts?

As long as it's a strong LOR, then actual length whether short or long should not be too big of a deal.

I have what I think is an amazing LOR from a dentist and it was close to a page. I think any more than that is a little much. Don't forgot they have thousands to read.
