Why in the name of all that's holy would you call the admissions office to ask that?! Were you trying to call attention to those grades? What were you planning to do if they said "Anything less than a B and we'll rescind your acceptance"? I'm trying but I really can't see a single reason to have made that call, except to alert them to how neurotic you are.Hey, I'm sorry to ask this question, but I was wondering how low your grades can be after getting an MD acceptance? I think I will get 2 C's this semester, which will put my semester GPA at around a 3.0. I called the admissions office to ask, and they wouldn't answer me, and just said "as long as you get satisfactory grades." Thank you!

That said, they did answer your question: they said "satisfactory", and as an adult learner that's as much hand-holding as you should need.
That's still a totally absurd thing to ask them. It's time for you to be an independent thinker.Chill, I just asked if there was a GPA requirement post-acceptance lol

There are some medical schools which set a minimum for post-accept grades. Don't know which ones, but previous SDners have posted about this in the past.My gut feeling is as long as you pass and can obtain your bachelor's you should be good! Senioritis is real...but tbh I don't want the final transcript I send in to look bad lol
The problem with this is that "satisfactory" can have different meanings. Does it means getting a passing grade (as determined by the undergrad institution)? Does it mean maintaining the median GPA for which the med school accepts students?
Yes I have been! I just forgot to update the signature
