Say the class size is 200 (just for easy math). How many actual A's does the school typically need to give in order to fill the class, knowing that some who receive an A will go elsewhere? 250? 300?

I found an old @Goro post where it was said that schools accept 2-3 people for every 1 seat they need to fill. But it was a decade old so wondering if things have changed.

There are additional nuances like IS seats and articulation seats that will ultimately determine the final minimum number of interviews which cannot be simulated.

It depends. Some schools are not permitted to give more offers than they have seats. Other schools may be so popular that almost everyone who gets an offer will take it but you'll still have people who have offers from Harvard AND Stanford and have to turn down one of them (and maybe 5 others as well). Still others may make 2 -3.5 offers per seat particularly if they are private schools with some money but not a free ride and completing against higher ranked schools and schools (public or private) that have a lower net cost of attendance.
