It would be great if someone can tell me on average, how many can you miss to get 13s on each sections? Is it around 5-7?
thanks
thanks
on verbal, i would say 2-4 . on ps, i would say 3-6. on bs i would say 4-7. i have the data for this somewhere but i forget where. but it will vary per test. 5-7 though does put you in a good range for a 12-14 on the ps/bs, but that will likely be a 11-12 on the vs.
hmm, 3-6 and 4-7, so that's around 6-12% that we can miss to get 13s on the sciences? That's kinda hard.
Me too! No wonder it's so hard to attain- you can only miss a handful of questions!13 on any section is considered to be a good score. i would be happy with a 13 on any or all sections. lol
does that have to do with the fact that there are more questions in the sciences than verbal???well science has 52 questions, while verbal has 40, so a less lenient curve on verbal makes sense. towards the middle score ranges it might change, but i believe that's how it is. on monday, i'll post the data from the aamc for all score ranges.
here's something from a previous thread though.
"Also as I remember, VR is the least lenient scoring wise. You literally go down 1 full point per question missed (approximately). Whereas the two sciences are a bit more forgiving (dropping a full point for every two or three questions missed)."
