How many hours do VA doctors work every week?

Just curious if anyone out there had an idea of the kind of hours attendings work at VA hospitals. Is it different for different specialties? I've heard that a lot of Primary Care physicians work roughly 40 hours/week, but if this is true, is it the same for surgeons and other specialties?

not a VA surgeon, but I don't think our guys go too much past 40-50hrs/week. There is the occasional callback when you are on call, but that's everything surgical

It's true at some as they may hire contract physicians to take night call duty.
