Hey fellow pre dents. Hope everyone is staying nice and relaxed while we wait for the big day. I interviewed at 4 different schools so far, and i was wondering what you all think about how many interviews should give someone a sense of relief?

Depends on where you interviewed. If the interviewed to accepted ratio high, it may help you feel better about your chances.
But it depends more on your application and how your interview went.

This has been answered before numerous times but 1 interview can be enough for someone while 10 interviews may result in no acceptance.

I had 4, got into 2. hope that helps

Ive seen people on SDN with 5 interviews and no acceptances so it's kind of hard to say.
1 interview & 1 acceptance is better than 5 interviews & no acceptances.

Let's say there is a pre-dent with an average social skill. Assuming one in three interviwee gets an admisson offer (an optimistic estimate for many schools perhaps). If you want to be about 95% confident that at least one school will accept you, you will need exactly 7 interviews. Of course, this is just a joke, because how much an interviewer likes you affects most heavily in decision making. Like advance said, 1 interview can be better than 5 interviews, although realistically if someone had 10+ interview, I would be shocked to hear that he wouldn't be matriculating the next year.

Applied to four schools. Received four interviews. After the first one, I cancelled the remaining three. Was accepted and never looked back. I was cheap and definitely gambled. Not a decision for the faint of heart haha. Class of 2018.

What a true Italian stallion. You have the heart of the lion. What a gamble haha.

7 interviews. 5 waitlists. 1 acceptance. turned down 1 interview.

6 interviews. 3 waitlists, 2 Dec 1 acceptances, turned down 1 interview.

5 pre-December interviews, 2 post December. 2 December 1st acceptances and 3 wait lists.

I would have said the more the better.
But I got two interviews and got accepted to both of them. So I think it depends on your application and social skills.

1 pre-dec interview, 1 post-dec interview (declined), and 1 acceptance.
i applied to 7 schools.

if i had to do it again, i'd apply to more schools.

11 interview invites, 7 attended pre-Dec 1st (1 attending post-Dec 1st), 4 acceptances, 2 waitlists!

1 pre-dec interview, 1 post-dec interview, and 1 acceptance

Tips: don't ever lose hope...even if you only have one interview, make sure you give it your best because remember that all you need is one!

3 pre-dec interviews, 1 declined post-dec interview, 1 acceptance, 1 waitlist.

7 interviews. Attended 6 pre-December, accepted to 4 and waitlisted at 2. Turned down a post-december. I think it really comes down to how appealing ur personality can be....or just luck...who knows
