How many interviews your guys have?

I am so nervous and having bad anxiety.
I am thinking about retaking DAT. I am taking two grad courses doing well in them.
I can't wait few more days.
I hope God is listening for me.

A friend of mine has pretty much right on those stats, and he's received an interview to LECOM and ASDOH thus far out of 18 or so schools. So, there's still hope for you. Pre-Dec 1 interviews may or may not be a stretch, but there's always second waves which you have a greater probability to receive with that stat range. Don't give up hope. While it may not seem like it, it is still early to be getting interviews. If you had a 4.0 and 26AA with no interviews, then it might be a little more concerning, but you've still got plenty of time to get interviews in the long-term view of things. Heck, schools even accept applicants up until just weeks before matriculation. Keep your spirits up, and your prayers since you mentioned God, and good things will come your way.

I have sGPA 3.2 and a 20 AA DAT scores and currently have about 5 interview invites already.

IMO, your DAT scores are competitive enough, and I'm assuming you did decent enough on the important sections such as the sciences and RC. But I agree, there's plenty of time to get more interviews. They'll just pop up on you one day when you're off guard. For instance, I gave up on ADSOH a long time ago, but then just out of nowhere, I received an invite by surprise. Don't give up hope and it's important to keep yourself super busy. Time flies faster that way. I've been working and going to school everyday and it helped me worry less. I also check my email less now versus the 10+ times a day routine I had in July 🙂 It caused unnecessary stress. Good luck!

Mind if I ask where you have your interviews? And when you submitted your AADSAS, etc.. I have similar stats so I am just curious.

yea I have about the same stats as you and haven't heard back from any school yet.

I just realized my dentist hasn't submitted the recommendation yet. This is more annoying now 😕

Your dentist significantly reduced your chance of getting an acceptance. It's October, extremely late in the cycle and most, if not all, schools haven't even looked at your application because it's not complete.

I don't think there's any need to stress as much as this would make it seem.

Most schools don't require a letter of recommendation from a dentist. It's just preferred. Off the top of my head though it puts you in hot water for UNLV, Mercy, Tufts, Nova, and Boston. If you applied to any of those schools you may want to get on that dentist!

I did apply to Tufts and Boston. I hate him now but he is really cool. I am going to get him.

Just chill. Find a new hobby or gf in the meantime. No need to worry about it until Jan.

This is what I like to refer to as an EPIC FAIL! :bang: Did you check your AADSAS app frequently to see if/when your letters came in? This should've set you off to the fact that your dentist hasn't sent the letter in. While a LOR from a dentist specifically is not required by all schools, it could still definitely be hurting you if this letter was supposed to fill another required spot like a "writer of your choice" LOR. However, if all your other LORs filled the requirements for all the schools you applied to, then this might not play a significant role. Either way, I'd get on the dentist and have him get it in pronto. LORs are usually okay if they come in later after you submit your app (although October is still pretty late), so there's still hope. Was this LOR a required LOR for any schools, or was it purely an extra?

As others have mentioned, there is still time to get interviews, don't sweat it (yet). Pre-Dec1 interviews are really starting to run out, however.

I don't think your main problem is your stats, but your late submission (8/2) and the schools you applied to. You are not an URM, so Howard was a bad choice. You are OOS, and without spectacular stats, VCU seems like a poor choice as well. Columbia overlooks low GPA for high DATs, but you don't even have a 20 AA. So you applied to 8 schools, 3 of which were not the best fit (in terms of acceptance) and you're down to 5 schools with a late submission date.

Nothing you can do now, but GL on the cycle 👍

Just like everyone said, all you can do is wait. They will come when you least expect it.

You can go on predents and find out information like that... (dat score and gpa / interview comparisons)

http://www.predents.com/index.php?page=search

You can leave all the search criteria blank and click the "Search Predents.com Members" and wait for the results. Then sort the columns by clicking on the top of the column that you want to sort by. For instance, you can click the "gpa" column. You can also just fill out the predents search page with more restrictions and it will screen the predents files for you.

Predents ROCKS! thank you PDizzle!

I applied to 15 schools, I haven't list the others yet.

Man you are lucky. Military counts the most in your case.

Hobbies? I got tons, I am running a marathon in two weeks and do all kinds of artsy stuff. I already got a gf, but she is freaking out with MCATs.

I think it could have to do with the 4.0, but i could be wrong...

Maybe partially, but I would agree that having served in the military counted a lot for him. I obviously don't know him as a person.. he may have had a fantastic personal statement and letters of rec, etc. but his DAT scores are average/not great. I would think that a 4.0 gpa does not hold as much value with lower DAT scores. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

i have a 3.3 sGPA and a 3.42 overall GPA with a 19 AA 19 TS and have 4 interviews thus far
