How many reference letters do people usually submit to each school? I know the minimum is usually 3, but since AMCAS lets you have up to 10, how many is the average people usually submit? Is the more the better?

Not necessarily. Check each school's website....they usually have specific instructions. As a general rule, though, I would say no more than six letters to a school - and that's on the high end of things.
