Just got my first decision and it was a rejection. How many rejections did you get before getting your first interview?

This process will really put some hair on your chest. I applied to 36 schools though, so I guess my anxiety is getting ahead of itself.

Don't worry, I was rejected to about 5 schools before I heard anything positive, then got 3 interviews within a week. Try to relax and not worry about it. Good luck!

which school did you get the rejection from and what are your stats? that will help to give honest opinions.

2 rejections, 1 interview... I can live with the rejections if this ratio of 2:1 keeps up.

2 rejections and then... 12 interview invites. weird

4 for me, 2 pre-secondary, 2 post.

1 rejection, 4 interview invites, 1 rejection, 2 interview invites, 1 rejection
about time for some more interview invites!

so far 6 rejections no interiews. (amcas verified 6/21/11)

If you count previous cycles, 21 + 12 + 2 (this year), so thats makes it 35.
2 invites since without a rejection, so on a roll with 2 straight wins after 35 losses. Definitely should be on Sports Illustrated's photo gallery of longest losing streaks of all time: 35 losses in a row spanning 2 years 2 months lol

I think the oriels still beat you

currently at 4 rejections kind of: 3 pre secondary, one school didn't reject me, they emailed me and told me that I was "not an american citizen" even though my amcas clearly states I am an american citizen. my current permanent address is in Canada but they pulled me from the applicant pool. two weeks later i receive the secondary, email them to see if this was a mistake, they told me i need to change my citizenship still. (blatant money grab in my opinion). I just took this as a rejection cause I am not wasting money on that secondary. one post secondary about two days after filling it out. I also feel as if this was a money grab.

zero interview invites......

1 interview, then 5 swift rejections, then 12 more interviews from top 10/top 15. weird.

Got two rejections in July almost right off the bat including one five days after submitting my secondary then four interview invites in August and early September mixed with one rejection in that stretch.

Only recently submitted, got one rejection and one interview so far.
