I applied to 25. Just wondering what everyone else did....(national average ~13)

I originally thought it would be cool to go to a lot of interviews that was before my GPA dropped a bit and I realized that I didn't want to pay the ridiculous application fees of some of the AMCAS schools that I was applying too. But I still think its totally awesome that you went to that many. I assume the original pollster meant how many applications were finished so I don't count the AMCAS ones that I finished the primary but not the secondary. I would have to say that without a doubt, having applied to medical schools has made me realize the best thing about the state of Texas....abundant number of public schools (6) with cheaper application feels, a reasonable system to ensure no one hold admissions spots needlessly, and prolly (hopefully, knock on wood) lower admission standards than somewhere like Cali (two UC schools are in the top 20 in U.S. News & World!).
