I was just curious to see how many schools other people are applying to. It's so expensive to just simply apply to a school with the Pharmcas fee and supplement application fee. Right now I have 5 picked out, and I feel like if I can't get into 1 out of 5, no place else would probably accept me either. I have a pretty decent application, with a 3.49 gpa and 85 PCAT plus I work as a pharmacy technician and have past volunteer experience in pharmacy.

What are your plans?

well there is no right answer for this one lol. IMO, once again IMO!!!! your stat seems very acceptable to any institutions. people like myself whos having overall GPA of 3.3 with lower pcat score, applying few may risk the chances to get in. but of course , more schools u applying more chances u r getting.

Im applying to 5 schools as well. With a 3.5GPA and a 85PCAT I would just start practicing my interview for your #1 school.

I am applying to at least 25 schools. I will get in somewhere no matter what.

That's so many schools! How can you afford all of that??? My 5 schools will already cost about $800 just to apply. (I haven't submitted my Pharmcas yet though, so I might add one or two more - not sure.)

I am going to apply to more schools. 25 is the minimum. My stats are not great:

PCAT: 61
Overall GPA: 3.0
Math/Science GPA: 2.8

I got rejected this past year but that was with only applying to 4 schools. I am determined to get in somewhere.

Right now my fees are at $2100. I don't care how much fees are, if I get into a pharmacy school then it will pay off. I will get in somewhere. I will not give up.

Just curious, does that scare you with your fees being so high? How many schools are you applying to?

Dang 800$? Are you counting supplemental fees as well because 12 schools cost me a nice 750$ when I e-submitted.

My regret is applying to too many.. Don't waste your money. Apply early and see how you do then apply more if you aren't getting interview invites. I applied to like 20.. Stupid of me. I applied to a bunch of lame schools that I didn't want to go to and got into my top choice.. Should of just applied to the 3 top choices...

88 pcat 2.7 GPA.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking - that I'll just regret it in the end since I feel like I have a pretty solid application, but that doesn't stop me from worrying!

Yeah, I'm including supplement fees. Those stink. 🙁

Supplemental fees are awful. The application fees does not include supplemental fees for me. My supplemental fees are $1100. The fees will increase I know with the other schools that I add to PharmCAS.

That is great advice, but I am hoping that applying broadly and early will give me an advantage....so yea for fees 🙁

I applied to only 1 school, got invitation for the 1st interview date and got accepted one week later.
GPA 3.5, never take PCAT hehe

i already told you that youre not getting in anywhere

The more schools you apply may statistically increase your chance of getting in. However, in reality, the more you know about the schools you applying, the more chance of getting in.

Applying to one. If I don't get in this time, applying to the same one again.

First determine the schools you really want to go to. You will then apply to these without question. This varies from person to person.

Then, select safety schools. The stronger of an applicant you are, the less you need apply for. If you're weaker, apply to more schools.

For me in the end, it came down to I didn't want to go through the application process again next year.

The bare minimum process costs enough and I didn't want to be in a position of not getting accepted for next year only because of $50 extra now to add a possible school (not including supplemental fees that may apply).

But on the flip side, I am applying as an international student and I am somewhat limited in the number of schools I am eligible to apply to.

my stats are about the same as yours, may I ask what schools you were accepted into?

I don't know what you're trying to get at here or why but those are actually pretty good stats.

I have seen far worse stats get in last year. don't discourage people who actually have a shot.
