USMLE How many times can you extend the eligibility period?

So, for Step 1, we can only extend our eligibility period one time per registration? I know the other extension is 3 months.

But if someone wants to take it even later after extending it, would that mean you have to do a new registration all over again?

You'd need to cancel your current appointment, wait for your eligibility period to expire, then re-register, pay the exam fee again and request another verification of enrollment from your school.
