It sucked because amcas interpreted my sophomore, junior and senior years to be different than what my OFFICIAL transcripts said they would be... so... now I have XXXXXXXX on pretty much all of my classes

... not because of grade changes... OH nooooo... that would make sense.... ... but because of amcas' stupid interpretation of class standing (frosh/soph/jun/sen)... whatever... 😡

Do schools look unfavorably on a lot of X's? Surely they'd understand that AMCAS has an arcane system for interpreting transcripts.

I had 34 AP credits and AMCAS counted them as sophomore credits instead of freshman, so I had a bunch of XXXXX's

I was asked at one of my interviews what all of the "CRs" meant and told them it was AP credits; they thought Ihad opted to take the class as credit only, so AMCAS suckks at interpreting AP exempts too...😳

X= courses verified with correction

I believe you see these often with p/np and ap courses. at least, that is what happened in my case.

I haven't been verified yet, but when I printed out a copy of my app, the AP credits didn't show up as AP even though I had checked that box for each one. I'm sure I'll get the X's too. I just hope the schools don't think I lied on AMCAS and had to be corrected or something.

Yeah all mine are also due to ASSCASS changing me from Junior to Soph, etc..I asked TWO admissions directors yesterday and they said HUH? no, we do not look at the X's ....so everyone can relax

Same thing happened to me too. So I am in the 10-20 category. Good thing they don't care....

The same thing happened to me last year. They changed every class with the exception of four or five. I listed AP, they told me it wasn't reflected on any transcript, then added AP credit. My GPA didn't calculate right.

At that point, every single line was changed. I wouldn't worry about it. Not a single school said anything to me, and I still was offered multiple acceptances.
