I'm taking mine in July and won't start studying until end of April. That gives me a little over 2 months. Is this enough (planning on 4 hours a day)?

How much did you guys study and what was your score if you don't mind me asking?

That's plenty of time. I studied 2-3 hours a day for 2 weeks and got a 90 composite

Yea more than enough. I got a 94 studying 1-2 hours a day 5 days a week for 2 months

I would agree that is more than enough. I studied mostly Dr. Collins for 1-2 hours per day for about 3 months and got 99 composite with >80 in all subsections.

ok it really shouldnt be called studying. it should be called brushing up. For me i skipped verbal and reading completely. And you should know everything already, not trying to learn what the mitochondria does and what dehydration reaction is.

I took it my junior yr, imo the best year to take it. I studied maybe 2 hrs a day for ~5 days and my lowest score was a 91 on reading so there's that.

Dr Collins for 1 month whenever I felt like studying, 99 on everything except verbal vocabulary, 501 composite score, it seemed like AP biology and chemistry exam all over again

Wow everyone here is a superstar test taker 🤣.

That's more than enough time to study. It really shouldn't be too bad. Just brush up on those topics your fuzzy and you should be good. I probably had 2 months to study but really only seriously dedicated 2 weeks (2-4 hours/day). I really bombed the reading/math sections and got 68% composite.

I think if anything after study prep, you should be well rested and calm come test day. Maybe take the previous day to relax a bit. I probably would have gotten at least 80%+ if I didn't choke as hard and focus a bit more on the math section.

I started mid May last year and took it mid July, studied 5+ hours M-F and did nothing for the week before the exam. I aced it 🙂

2-4 hours nearly everyday for 4 weeks, 93 comp.

You should already know most of the material from taking the prerequisites so you just need to review the material that could be in the test. If you still feel confident about those, then you really only need the two weeks before the PCAT.

The PCAT study guide (it has a practice test too) should be good to get an idea of what is on the PCAT and if you're missing anything before you tackle the official PCAT practice tests. Then it's just those doing those official practice tests, then patching up your knowledge with any questions you've had trouble on. This should be a given, but make sure you do the official practice tests under a time limit. Get the score report even if you didn't get a chance to do all the questions (just come back to them later) so you understand what topics you need to learn about.

The most important part is that all the questions are weighed equally, no matter the difficulty. Guess on the harder questions then look back on them when you have time, you might be surprised on how high you'll still get on the Quantitative Ability component even if you don't get all the questions.
