Hey all. I just took my DATs (9/16). Everything went better than expected except for the QR part. I was wondering if anyone has an idea how much the QR scores weigh in when it comes to getting into schools.

Here's my breakdown:
PAT - 22
QR - 15 👎
RC - 24
Bio - 22
G Chem - 23
O Chem - 27

Total Science - 24
AA - 22

Should I re-take for a better QR?

I'm not even sure what my GPA is. I think it's a little above 3.6 with a masters.

I plan on applying to all the Cali schools, UNLV, Arizona, UIC, BU, Tufts, UPenn, Temple, NYU, and Columbia. I'd rather go to a So.Cal school. (CA resident btw)

Thanks!!

btw, DAT Achiever is A+ for prep. I could've sworn some of the science questions were exactly the same.

You will most deff not get into dental school with those stats. You are well below the average. Come on, I mean you can't even get a perfect on one section? To be real, do your research. Stop gloating about your high scores. If you would click on any dental school website and look at their averages you will see you are above all of them. Why do people still put these dumb "AM I GOOD ENOUGH" posts?

You should call each of the schools that you applied to and ask them.

Some schools have a minimum score for each section, others dont.

This is a valid question. Joebucks no need to be a cynical dingus!

Good luck

yeah your best bet would be to call up the schools youre applying to and just ask them if you meet their requirements. those are some fantastic scores btw. i don't see how they could deny you an interview based on a low QR score with those awesome science scores. 🙂 🙂

I think most of these guys are trying to sell off DAT achiever, i knowticed they seem to shove that in somehow. What losers.

Checked my post twice....
Couldn't find any signs of gloating. 🙄
...oh yeah, I did my research.
Give me links to the schools I listed that show averages on QR scores. The only one I found was UOP with an avg of 19 on QR and a "general minimum of 16" on all scales.
When was the last time you saw anyone being happy with a 15?
Do your own bucking research, then come back and "contribute" to this thread.

howui3, tinman831,..
thanks for the replies and support. I plan to call the schools on Monday. However, being that it's Friday evening, I was hoping to ease some concerns over the weekend. I'll update the thread when I find out more.

I wasn't aware that I could "sell off" DAT achiever. From what I've heard, the liberation key only works for one computer/user.
teefRcool, Take the DAT Achiever practice tests, then take the real DATs. Then maybe your reply might take on more weight. BTW, ya wanna buy my DAT Achiever off me?

Subliminal, hope you feel better about yourself. you could of just posted your very low QR scores. you know what. this isn't worth my time. good luck man, you'll get in, i am sure of that. just remember that people get down of themselves when others post such high marks in there threads, and act like they won't get in to school. you know you are very smart. why do you need others to see you are also. good luck.

Well, I don't think he's gloating about his high scores. I think that he has a legitimate concern, especially since some schools seem to have a cut-off for the PAT section. If I were in his shoes, I would personally retake the DATs.
