should we be familiar with the various kingdoms, know the differences between angiosperms, gymnosperms, monocots, dicots, tracheophytes, deuterostomes, protostomes, and major developments such as coelom, neural cord, vascularization, etc?

i believe the deuterostomes/protostomes, neural cord and coelom would fall more under embryology, but as far as knowing various kingdoms, at least from the practice test I have taken and the content I have read from my kaplan books, you don't need to know them. if there is a question regarding kingdoms on the MCAT, i'm sure that it will be passage based, and contain the information you need to know within the passage.

how in depth do u guys know about embrylogy?

For embryology, at a minimum, you gotta know about the basic processes and initial stages of a fertilization and zygote formation(blastospore, blastocoel, blastula, gastrulation, neurulation, etc). Oh, and questions about the organs that were derived from mesoderm, ectoderm, and endoderm also came up once. Gotta know those. These are just the ones that I've seen on the practice MCATs though (i did about 10 of em).

Embryology is there and u gotta know it.

As the others have said, which organ types arise from the meso/ecto/endoderm, and the proper order of the taxonomy classifications (Kids Prevent Collection Of Fun GadgetS).

maybe he misspelled it on purpose EVILution. Eh?? right??? Pro creationist??

Evolution is bullcrap, creationism is the truth

I know, totally. All of that scientific evidence obtained through the fossil record and genetic analysis is just propaganda promoted by those anti-god people. I certainly trust the bible, written by people with no concept of the scientific method, for explanations of the universe over the word of those "scientists."
:hello:

there was an AAMC MCAT verbal passge that discounted evolution in favor of intelligent design.

and i did misspell evolution purposely
